Nina Lehto: Ceramicist
Cups

Most of my cups are wheel thrown and altered with pulled handles, fired to cone 10 reduction.
My Work
Claw Foot Series

This ongoing series has been formed through a combination of wheel throwing, hand building and press molds. Work in progress.
Kristen Kieffer-inspired
My focus in the fall semester of 2013 was to emulate an artist in a way that fits both their aesthetic with a twist of my own style. This bowl was wheel formed and altered, decorated with stamps and slip trailing. It was fired to cone 6 using mason stain glazes.

Blue and White Carvings
My most recent works include both abstract and representational carved patterns, repeatead accross the surface similar to that of a Mandala. Each piece is hand carved and painted carefully with a lovely glaze called Twilight Princess Most are made out of porcelain, but a few are stoneware with a white slip.
